Okay, I found two free text to speech conversion programs that allow you to copy and paste or upload the text you want converted to speech. No, this is not a screen reader, but a program to convert your own text, documents, or website into speech that will play when oppened instead of using your screen reader.
I thought such a thing might be good for the text parts of my website or for my book so that it will be accessible in case someone doesn't have a screen reader.
I want to know if anyone has heard of these, used either, and what you think.
Yes, I did try both and both convert text to speech.
Also, does anyone know how to code the microsoft TTS Mike and Mary to speak text in a site?
This was posted earlier, but I got no responses.
Below are the two links.

I've used e speech and it works fairly well. I think you can use other voices with it, but I can't remember how to do that because I haven't used it for nearly 2 years.

The Microsoft Speech SDK includes an example JavaScript that produces speech output from within a web site, using SAPI 5 voices. I don't know how widely this feature is supported across browsers, and the user would need to have SAPI 5 installed. This may not be your best solution, since Mac users are not going to have SAPI 5. Since there are several free screen readers out there, it is probably reasonable to assume users will have sccreen access software available.
